Today, the Sancta Caecilia Choir remembers with much love and gratitude our dear Ma’am Elsie Eranista of the Philippine Madrigal Singers.
We were truly blessed to have spent so many wonderful years learning from you. You generously shared with us not just your extraordinary knowledge of music, but also your passion, patience, discipline, and love for the craft.
You taught us that singing goes beyond hitting the right notes and creating beautiful harmonies. It is about listening to one another, working together, and putting our hearts into every song we offer.
Looking back, we realize just how fortunate we were to have had you as part of our journey. The countless rehearsals, the corrections, the laughter, the little victories, and the lessons along the way — these are memories we will always hold close to our hearts.
A part of who we are as a choir today is because of you. And for that, we will forever be grateful.
Thank you, Ma’am Elsie, for the years you so generously shared with SCC. Thank you for believing in us, for challenging us to become better, and for reminding us that music, especially when offered in service to God, deserves nothing less than our very best.
Your influence will always be felt in the way we sing, the way we serve, and the way we continue to grow together as a choir.
As we say our goodbyes, we take comfort in knowing that the beautiful legacy you have built lives on in the many lives you have touched, including ours.
Rest peacefully in God’s loving embrace, Ma’am Elsie. May the choirs of angels welcome you into paradise.
