The upcoming art exhibition "C’est Si Bon" bridges Filipino creativity with classic French inspiration. Organized by the group of Cici Sison Lane and Nestor Perez Ong, the show opens on July 4, 2026, at the Arte Artehan Gallery inside Il Centro at Sta. Lucia Mall. The organizers chose a French theme to pay homage to Paris, universally recognized as the epicenter of global art. This cultural concept challenges local artists to engage with international expressions while remaining rooted in their personal creative identities.
The core concept of the exhibition requires each participant to visually interpret a specific French phrase. Every artist will apply their unique style to their assigned words, transforming linguistic concepts into visual art. To ensure accessibility for the audience, each piece will be titled with its original French phrase alongside its English translation. This approach creates an interactive dialogue between language, interpretation, and visual form, showcasing a diverse range of artistic styles under a unified theme.
The opening event, or vernissage, promises an immersive sensory experience that extends beyond the gallery walls. Attendees will experience a lively celebration featuring dynamic performances by Can-Can dancers, Moulin Rouge dancers, and Marian dancers. By blending festive, world-famous Parisian cabaret styles with expressive dance choreography, the opening event will transport visitors straight into the heart of French culture. "C’est Si Bon" will offer an unforgettable fusion of visual art and performance that celebrates global artistic heritage.
