The Artists:
DEINIEL SANCHEZ began his music journey with the trumpet at the tender age of eight. However, things took a turn at 12 when his band in Bulacan needed to fill the horn section. This seemingly ordinary switch ignited a passion for the French horn that propelled Deiniel into mastering his craft.

Deiniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Santo Tomas Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy in 2019. Moreover, he entered the UST Conservatory of Music, earning a Bachelor of Music in Performance, Major in French Horn, under the tutelage of Mrs. Atsuko Tashiro-Tagala and Mr. Jay-ar Mesa, graduating as Summa Cum Laude and class valedictorian.

Deiniel is an active musician performing with different ensembles in the country. He served as Principal Horn of the UST Symphony Orchestra and UST Wind Orchestra. His membership extends to groups like Ang Misyon Inc. Orchestra of the Filipino Youth, the 2019 FilKor Youth Orchestra, and the Pulong Buhangin Youth Band. Additionally, he is a regular program musician, gracing the stages of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. His dedication to the craft is further evident in his membership with the Philippine Horn Players' Society. In addition, he served as Deputy Musician for the 2024 Manila production of the world-renowned musical Miss Saigon. He was part of the delegation at the NAMCYA Winners' Concert at the Gulangyu Concert Hall in Xiamen, China. Furthermore, showcasing his artistry, Deiniel presented an online solo recital titled "Beyond the Common" with the Manila Pianos Artist Series.

In music competitions, Deiniel proved capable of demonstrating his music. He secured 1st Prize in the Brass Open Category at the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) 2022 "Maglayog (Lumipad)." A Gold Award followed this achievement in the First Round of the 2nd Sugree Charoensook International Music Competitions. He has also garnered top honors in competitions like the Asian Music Games 2021 (1st Prize), Bacoor International Music Championships 2021 (2nd Prize), and the 1st Leopoldo Lopez Horn Competition (6th Place).

Deiniel's academic and artistic excellence haven't gone unnoticed. The University of Santo Tomas bestowed upon him prestigious awards, including the Rector's Award for Academic Excellence, St. Thomas Aquinas Award for Exceptionally Outstanding Performance, Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award, and Pope John Paul II Outstanding Achievement Award.

CHRISTINE MARIE CATELO started playing the piano at the age of 7 under the tutelage of the late Prof. Godofredo Areza, a retired professor from Ateneo de Manila. At the age of 12, she auditioned for the Annual Search for Young Arts Scholars (ANSYAS) of the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) in Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna and was granted a full scholarship in 2014. By 2018, she was accepted at St. Scholastica’s College, Manila where she took up Music Performance under the Arts and Design Track for senior high school and graduated with honors. She has been under the tutelage of Ms. Mariel Ilusorio for her entire high school experience. Aside from the required annual recitals at the National Arts Center, she actively participates in piano festivals hosted by the Piano Teachers’ Guild of the Philippines Foundation Inc. She also performed at PASINAYA and held her first solo piano recital at Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino of the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2018.

Tin competed and won 3rd Prize of Category V at the Four Notes International Piano Competition held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in 2021, and was labeled as Honorable Mention of the Lucy Boyan Balakian Award (Piano) Category at the New York Young Performers Prize Competition in 2022. She made her orchestral debut with the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra (MSJO) as she was chosen to be one of the soloists for the Bach Solo Keyboard Concertos of the Manila Pianos Artist Series where she performed the Keyboard Concerto No. 1 in D Minor in 2022. She performed in masterclasses with renowned pianists and pedagogues such as Horacio Nuguid, Richard Shuster, Jovianney Emmanuel Cruz, Oliver Salonga, Alexander Tchobanov, Chi-Ying Hung, Ksenia Nosikova, and the late Reynaldo Reyes. Tin is currently a college student at the University of Santo Tomas pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Mr. Anthony Say and is a recipient of the Santo Domingo scholarship.
