A huge thank you to the around 800 film enthusiasts who joined us from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM today, August 23, 2026, for this month's edition of Mga Hiyas ng Sineng Filipino! 🌟

The theater was buzzing as we laughed, gasped, and cheered during our special screening of the brilliant 2021 film Big Night!.

The cinematic experience didn't stop when the credits rolled—thank you for staying, listening, and sharing your brilliant thoughts during our lively post-screening talkback session!🎙️

This meaningful celebration of Philippine cinema is made possible through our valuable partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP). 🇵🇭✨

Isang araw na lang at mapapanood na ang pelikulang “BIG NIGHT!”.

Sa gitna ng katatawanan at tensiyon, inilalantad ng pelikulang ito ang mga isyu ng maling paratang, kapangyarihan, karahasan, at paghahanap ng hustisya.

Mapapanood ang BIG NIGHT! (2021) sa darating na Linggo, ika-23 ng Agosto sa ganap na ika-2 ng hapon na susundan ng talkback session.

Dalawang araw na lang at mapapanood na ang pelikulang BIG NIGHT!

Ang pelikulang “Big Night!” ay tinatampok ang kuwento ni Dharna, isang ordinaryong beautician na biglang nasangkot sa isang mapanganib na sitwasyon matapos matuklasang kasama ang kanyang pangalan sa isang listahan ng mga itinuturing na drug users sa kanilang komunidad.

Abangan ang mga kaganapan na haharapin ni Dharna sa kanyang pagnanais na linisin ang kanyang pangalan.

Larry Alcala’s centennial birth anniversary reminds us that 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙄𝙎 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔𝙊𝙉𝙀 🎨✍🏼

In response, the NCCA together with the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Filipino Heritage Festival Inc. has partnered with the Samahang Kartunista ng Pilipinas to provide all-inclusive workshops that aim to invigorate the public’s capacity to express themselves through drawing.

In tandem with the commemorative exhibit 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫: 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, the first leg of workshops will cater to children and teens who want to learn about cartooning and improve their drawing skills.

Take note of the 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙚 for August 29 and September 5 to be held at the Metropolitan Theater!
