A veterinary clinic in Chiang Mai, Thailand, was left astonished one morning after discovering an injured stray puppy lying at its doorstep just in time to save it. The staff immediately treated the pup and managed to stabilize its condition. However, one big question remained: how did the dog end up there?

When the clinic reviewed their security cameras, the answer was unbelievable. The footage revealed a chimpanzee carefully placing the wounded dog by the entrance before quietly disappearing down the street. At first, no one could believe what they saw. But after further investigation and the help of local researchers who checked nearby CCTV footage, it was confirmed the chimp had found the injured puppy in the city, carried it through busy roads, and brought it straight to the nearest veterinary clinic.

Experts on primate behavior explained that chimpanzees are far more perceptive than most people think. They suggested that this chimp might have previously seen other animals being brought into the clinic and understood it was a place for help.
