For our BroadCon 2021, ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐๐ ๐ - ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ข๐: ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ณ๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ we give you Mr. Jervis Manahan, Mr. JP Soriano, Ms. Samantha Bagayas, and Ms. Jene-Anne Pangue who will be joining us tomorrow with our last day!
Ms. Samantha Bagayas graduated with a degree in Development Communication at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan. She was the Editor in Chief of The Crusader, the universityโs official student publication. She first entered Rappler as an intern under MovePH, its advocacy platform and civic engagement arm in 2017. Samantha Bagayas is currently a community and civic engagement specialist at Rappler that involves writing stories regarding movements and efforts tackling the environment, gender equality, and disaster risk and reduction management.
Mr. Jervis Manahan graduated Cum Laude at University of the Philippines - Diliman with a degree in Broadcast Communication. He is currently studying his masters in Broadcast Media Studies at the same university. He was a news reporter at Peopleโs Television also known as PTV, and worked as a writer, producer, and program researcher at GMA News and Public Affairs. Jervis Manahan is currently a multiplatform news reporter at ABS-CBN corporation and a college instructor at Trinity University of Asia.
Ms. Jene-Anne Pangue worked full time as a medical laboratory scientist and clinical instructor at a tertiary hospital in Tacloban City. Her involvement with MovePH started when she became a mover back in 2014 and an intern in 2015. Coming from a place heavily struck by Supertyphoon Yolanda, she covered events and wrote stories about her community in relation to the environment and disasters. In 2019, she pursued journalism and civic engagement. Jene-Anne Pangue continues to learn the importance of building communities of action for social good and is currently working as a community and civic engagement specialist at Rappler.
Mr. JP Soriano graduated with a degree in Communication Arts at Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila. He took his masters degree in Media Studies and Majored in Film at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. He became a contributor at CNN International, CNN World Report, and CNN World View. JP Soriano is currently a news anchor at GMA News TV, and is also a contributor and segment host for BRIGADA as well as Bawal Ang Pasaway with Mareng Winnie for GMA News TV.
