i've already drafted the last remaining prompts i need to complete mermay. For this booktok prompt, i wanted to redraw/recreate the chamber of secrets book cover into a mermaid, with octopus tentacles coming out of the chamber. i kept the phoenix as is cause it was too iconic. ✨

For this prompt, i wanted to draw this concept of mermaids swimming beside. the whale, kind of like protecting it. This took longer than it should have. I was mostly using different watercolor brushes from procreate. I was also working with a reference for the sea lighting and shape of the whale for this one.

Down to 6 more mermay promts and i'll graduate.

So excited to finally join this year's Community Quack Collab for . For Volume 2's theme, the challenge is to draw our OC's with 🥭🐥

The ones you see with mango here are three of my OC's from three different comic stories which I'm actively working on. I don't have a comic yet. I'm currently in my initial drafting phase: writing down the stories i would start telling, trying out different art styles, practicing and creating more one art jelly at a time, asking more questions every time. It's a fun journey, especially when I get to spend it with this community. 🐥💙🌟
