Meet the newest addition to the Karrivin crew: Sophie and Lily 🌸

Last year we had the opportunity to foster Shoyu (you may know him by his old name, Inu), and we loved every moment with him. A few months ago we thought it was high time to have another dog we could care for. introduced us to these two sweet girls, and we knew they were meant for us.

If you see them around Karrivin, please feel free to say hello! They love head scratches, belly rubs, and getting cuddles from new friends 💫

We’re heartbroken to share that Midnight, one of the original Alley cats of Karrivin, has passed.

Since 2011 he’s kept watch over the compound, with a blend of quiet judgement and selective affection. A true creature of habit, he knew when fish was being butchered in Toyo and Inatô, and knew exactly where to wait for his share. In the mornings he’d be patrolling the Alley, often waiting by the Aphro door as Blanca watched him from the window. Some afternoons you’d find him belly-up in the middle of the Alley or atop one of the tables. Other times he’d be soaking up the sunlight out in the parking lot.

Midnight wasn’t exactly cuddly, but he was constant. And if, by chance, he happened to snuggle up to you, know that you were special to him.

He won’t be padding silently around the corner anymore, but we like to think he’s somewhere warm, where afternoon light shines on him constantly. Right next to him, a plate of all the fish he could want. Safe travels, Midnight 🌑💫🐈‍⬛
