Today, we continue our commitment to authentic training, cultural exchange and growing the flamenco community in the Philippines. Keenly aware of the close historical bond between Spain and the Philippines, the Fundacion Centro Flamenco celebrates the rich heritage gained from this relationship through the creation of a foundation where teachers and musicians of Spanish music and dance can share a

nd promote the culture. The Fundacion Centro Flamenco encompasses the boundaries between cultures and traditions and aims to keep pace with the present trend of Flamenco, allowing innovative styles in the dances and their interpretations without losing touch with tradition and the captivating soul of Flamenco. It opens its doors to foreign professors and established artists of Flamenco to share and give workshops at the Center, encouraging interaction among local and foreign teachers and students.

A night of flamenco, friendship, and unforgettable memories ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Peña Flamenca: Jerez a Manila. Special thanks to 125Projects and NBS Park for hosting us. From the music and dance to the laughter and shared emoción, the evening reminded us once again that flamenco is best experienced together.
Hasta la próxima. 💃🌹

Flashback Friday
FLAMENCO HAS NO BORDERS

In 2021, the pandemic left all of us confined to our homes. Studios were empty, performances were paused, and flamenco — an art meant to be shared in community — was suddenly limited to online spaces.

Yet even in isolation, music and dance continued to connect us.

Inspired by flamenco, renowned Filipino composer Louie Ocampo composed Recuerdos, a beautiful musical piece that came to life through Teacher Emma’s powerful choreography.

What began as an idea soon became a labor of love.

Students and teachers voluntarily filmed ourselves dancing from our own homes — separated by distance, but united through music, movement, and passion. Piece by piece, the videos were brought together into one heartfelt collaboration, later uploaded on the Louie Ocampo YouTube page.

Looking back, this project reminds us that dance is healing.
Dance has no borders.
And in one of the most difficult moments we all shared, flamenco helped us create something beautiful together ❤️

Check out our stories to see the full you tube clip of Recuerdos.

Flamenco is best experienced together.🌹

This Peña may be sold out, but what truly fills the room is the alegría shared between artists, students, friends, and everyone who comes together for the love of flamenco.

From Jerez to Manila, we celebrate the music, the movement, the laughter, and the connections that keep this art alive.

Thank you for being part of our flamenco family. We can’t wait to share this special evening with all of you on May 24 ❤️

FLASHBACK FRIDAY to 2014 💃📸
Back when we spent an entire day doing the annual flamenco photoshoot, Teacher Emma briefly stepped out of the room…
…and as she did, so did their serious duendes 😂

Thankfully the photographer kept shooting and captured these gems forever.
The best part?
All 4 dancers in these photos are now our teachers ❤️
11 years later, we’re still here: 💃 teaching flamenco
💃 sharing laughter and friendship💃 passing on what we’ve learned💃 and continuing the tradition together

From students to teachers — still one big flamenco family ❤️
