Meet kat 🪷, one of our newest consigned brands at MMG!
Hello, I’m Kat, also known as Pusanggalart, an illustrator and visual artist.
I started drawing at a very young age, and I can basically say that I grew up alongside my art. Over the years, creating has become a way for me to understand the world around me and express the things I like, feel, and experience at the moment.
What inspires me most to be an illustrator is the desire to bring the vivid worlds in my head to life. I like creating work that feels whimsical and full of vibrant colors.
A lot of my inspiration comes from simply going outside and paying attention to the mundane things around me: interesting patterns, flora/fauna, textures, little details, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. I love incorporating vivid colors and grainy textures into my work because they make my illustrations feel more alive and tangible.
Ultimately, I want my work to feel alive and for the people who encounter it to feel a little more alive, too. I think that feeling is what keeps me creating.
