Rumor and Myths explores the porous boundary between these two forces. When does a whispered speculation become a shared belief? When does a local legend calcify into scripture? And what gets lostโor gainedโin the transmutation?
This exhibition does not ask you to separate fact from fiction. Instead, it invites you to sit inside the space between them.
Submit artworks with a minimum 8" and maximum of 16" length in any side (including frame) Works MUST be ready to hang and priced at maximum 25,000 only.
** Please note that Glassware and Ceramics are not allowed**
Selected pieces will be featured in a vibrant, gallery-style showcase.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & ELIGIBILITY
- Open to Philippine-based artists only, aged 18 and above.
- Any style and medium is accepted EXCEPT digital art and photographs.
- Artwork must be an original work, conceptualized and executed wholly by the submitting artist.
- Artwork must not contain fan art, explicit sexual content, nudity, depictions of drugs or violence, hate speech, or direct attacks on individuals/groups.
Submission Process:
1. READ all guidelines carefully (this announcement) and FILL OUT the Google Form completely and truthfully until Aฬถuฬถgฬถuฬถsฬถtฬถ ฬถ1ฬถ3ฬถ,ฬถ ฬถ2ฬถ0ฬถ2ฬถ6ฬถ August 20, 2026. (check comment for the link)
2. REVIEW & WAIT. Our Curatorial Committee will review all submissions based on the guidelines.
3. NOTIFICATION. Approved artists will be notified via email.
4. SETTLE THE PARTICIPATION FEE. (P300)
5.COORDINATION. Approved artists will be added to a dedicated Facebook group chat for exhibit updates.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS & AGREEMENTS
Artists must refrain from posting the submitted artwork on social media before the exhibition opening.
The Exhibit's dedicated Curatorial Committee has the sole right to select artworks for the exhibit.
1159 Creative Space holds exclusive selling rights over accepted artworks for 21 days from the exhibition opening, and will collect a 25% sales commission on any sale within this period.
Submissions that do not comply with all requirements will not be considered. All entry details are final.
