||Rythm of Hope Christmas party

Despite all the trials we have been through still we have been intact together as family. The true spirit of Christmas is not by receiving gift towards others or being reciprocated by our actions, it is the love that we have to share with each other. The true spirit of Christmas is by understanding, building our communication towards other's and most importantly loving with no forced. So this Christmas we must know how to love, understand and build our communication because that is the key to have a better relationship towards others. Merry Christmas and have a prosperous New Year!!

The life of our Savior Jesus Christ had many amazing parallels to that of Joseph the Dreamer (1st Reading, 1900 BC).

Jesus and Joseph were dearly loved by their fathers. Both were sent to bring their father's love to his other children. But they were hated and rejected by their brothers. They suffered terribly at their hands, betrayed and sold for dirty pieces of silver, and sent away to die. But they emerged victorious and continued to love their brothers. They forgave them and saved them from death.

Amazing parallels indeed!

After Jesus saved us, let us reflect on how parallel are our lives to that of our Brother. How is our mission of bringing our Father's love to those who hate us? Do we desire revenge for the pain they did us, or do we offer it up to God for their forgiveness? Are we working to parallel Jesus' holiness and life-giving values? If Joseph could do it, so can we!

Dear Jesus, open our eyes to Your amazing love and forgiveness, and the beauty and wisdom of Your virtues.

The Gospel today tells us that God is generous and He fulfills His promises. Our reward may not be in terms of material things but the hope, the joy and peace of mind that He gives us are priceless. Let us continue to trust in Him and eternal life will be ours.

The Gospel today tells us that “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit.” The challenge of this statement is that as we examine our hearts, we are able to see clearly the things that blind us to seeing God’s face in our brothers and sisters around us. God desires the best of us.

We are called to be instruments of God’s love to the world. Through our words and the way we live, our faith comes to life. Instead of looking at the sins and faults of others, we must reflect on the things in our hearts that lead us to judge, reject and not always love for others as God has loved us. That is why we must be less judgmental and more understanding as we encounter others. We must stay rooted in our relationship with God who loves us no matter what.
