A CELEBRATION OF GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION | WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 2026

On October 2, 2026, Saint Joseph College celebrated World Teachers’ Day with hearts full of gratitude and appreciation for the dedication, patience, and sacrifices of our beloved teachers.

The celebration began with a Holy Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Assumption, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, presided over by Rev. Msgr. Oscar Cadayona. The Saint Joseph Chorale, together with the Junior High School Choir, served as the choir for the Eucharistic celebration, uniting their voices in prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of our teachers.

Following the Holy Mass, the celebration continued with a program featuring the different departments of Saint Joseph College, honoring the educators who continue to inspire, guide, and shape the minds and hearts of every Josephenian.

The Saint Joseph Chorale extends its heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated advisers, Ma’am Virginia Lao and Ma’am Marle Cardovez, for their guidance, support, and unwavering commitment to the chorale.

To all our teachers, thank you for being instruments of knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration. Your influence goes beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of your students. May your passion for teaching continue to shine and touch countless lives.

Happy World Teachers’ Day! Your dedication is a gift, and your service is a legacy that will always be remembered.

As we begin this week-long celebration of sports, camaraderie, and school spirit, may our voices continue to inspire unity, dedication, and the true spirit of being Josephenians.

“Today is the birthday of the Mother of God, the beginning of our salvation.”

With hearts filled with joy and gratitude, we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the birth of the woman chosen by God to become the Mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ. May Mary’s life of humility, obedience, and unwavering faith inspire us to continually say “yes” to God’s will.

This blessed celebration is made even more meaningful through the visitation of the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Assumption, Maasin City, Southern Leyte. May the presence of Our Lady bring hope, peace, and renewed faith to all devotees and pilgrims who come to seek her maternal intercession.

The Holy Mass was solemnly animated by the Saint Joseph Chorale (SJC Chorale), offering their voices in praise and prayer to God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Mass Presider is Rev. Fr. Jersen Jerome Paler

May Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe and our beloved Mother, continue to guide us closer to her Son, Jesus.

Happy Birthday, Mama Mary!
Ora pro nobis, Sancta Maria.
