What a deeply meaningful and unforgettable day it has been for Mahaplag National High School.
We extend our sincerest and most heartfelt gratitude to UP Ideopraxist of the University of the Philippines Tacloban College, who spearheaded Karit Anyag 2026 in celebration of National Arts Month with the theme, “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting,” in partnership with UP Tacloban College – Division of Humanities and UP Tacloban Ugnayan ng Pahinungod.
You did not simply conduct a workshop—you created a space where courage was practiced, where truths were spoken, and where art became a living, breathing testimony of our students’ realities. Our learners, especially from the Special Program in the Arts and across different academic strands, were fully engaged not only in activity but in reflection and growth. They learned new skills, yes—but more importantly, they learned that art carries responsibility, voice, and power.
One of the most memorable moments came when a participant described the experience as “More than perfect.” It drew smiles from everyone. Though playfully imperfect in grammar, it expressed something genuine and profound. It reflected how the day felt—sincere, inspiring, and deeply impactful.
If there was one shared sentiment among our students, it was this: they wished it lasted longer. One day felt too short for something that stirred so much creativity, thought, and confidence. That longing speaks volumes about the success of the program.
From the depths of our gratitude, thank you for choosing Mahaplag National High School. Thank you for investing your time, your talent, and your hearts into our learners. Karit Anyag has left a mark that will remain with us—not only in the works created that day, but in the courage awakened within our students.
