God sometimes says "no" or "wait" because what we are requesting could ultimately hurt us, just like a loving parent would. In order to make sure we only receive what truly improves our lives, He filters our requests through His love. It is not a denial when a blessing is postponed. It usually indicated that you are ready to receive the blessing. God is always listening.
