Angelus Domini Choir ๐•‹๐•† ๐•ƒ๐”ผ๐”ธ๐”ป | ๐•‹๐•† ๐•Šโ„๐”ธโ„๐”ผ | ๐•‹๐•† ๐•€โ„•๐•Šโ„™๐•€โ„๐”ผ The group is based at the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Vincent Ferrer in Leganes, Iloilo.

๐‘จ๐’๐’ˆ๐’†๐’๐’–๐’” ๐‘ซ๐’๐’Ž๐’Š๐’๐’Š ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’๐’Š๐’“ is a group of young people bound by their common desire to grow in faith and to help others know God through music. The choir regularly sings every 4:00PM of Sunday. Founded by Rev. ๐…๐ซ. ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐‹๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐’๐ž๐ง๐ข๐ง๐š and ๐„๐ง๐ ๐ซ. ๐“๐ž๐›๐› ๐ƒ๐ž ๐†๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฆ๐š๐ง in January 17, 2021.

We, the Angelus Domini Choir, envision to embody the Spirit of Christ through music; singing as one, developing c

ore values as we grow in faith, spreading the Word of God and giving inspiration to others as servants of the Church.

Today's Gospel shares the words of Jesus: His commands to His disciples, and His teachings to spread the Word. The essence of today's Gospel is fear. Or rather, the fear in the wrong things.

In the Gospel, Jesus acknowledges the existence of fear. He is familiar with fear, and even doubt (as shown in His hours of prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane). But what we should fear, as He tells the Twelve, is the fear in the wrong things; earthly things. For as all-knowing as the Father is, He knows everything in every realm. And as Jesus said, "And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul..."

Indeed, in our time on Earth, we are blinded by our earthly lives. And oftentimes, we are blinded by our mortal fear. However, if there's one thing we can take away from today's Gospel reading, is that we should live in truth in the Way of the lord, and not if fear of our Earthly lives.

Fear is a natural, human thing. It is what has kept us alive for millennia. but to live in fear for our mortal lives, is not only limiting, it also keeps us from fostering a real relationship with God.

For as Jesus said, "Everyone who acknowledges me before others, I will acknowledge myself before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father."

Today, we take a moment to recognize and appreciate all the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures who have given us love, strength, guidance, and made sacrifices in our lives. Thank you for all the hard work, the constant support, and the many ways you show you care for your families every single day. Your commitment, wisdom, and selflessness really make a difference that words just can't capture.

On this blessed day, I hope God showers you with good health, joy, and all the love you share with everyone. Keep being that inspiration, faith, and courage for those who look up to you. We are eager to announce that we are open for auditions! We are looking for Sopranos, Altos,Tenors and Basses. We are calling the youth to come and join our family to offer your talent for to the Lord!

When?
Auditions willl commence every first Sunday of the Month. However, you are welcome to come every Sunday to observe and listen.

Where?
Auditions will be held at The Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Vincent Ferrer, Leganes, Iloilo.

To every door that closes, a window [of opportunity] opens... or so the saying goes. Let us gives a very warm welcome to the newly appointed Resident Priest of the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, Rev. Fr. Arn S. Cabrias!

Overcoming distances to serve our parish, Fr. Arn is a symbol of a new beginning. He is and will be a model of God's grace, wisdom, and humility; especially in leading the Catholic church of Leganes. More than his responsibilities though, we are looking forward to spending time and sharing our dedication in faith and service with Fr. Arn.

Nothing on Earth lasts forever, it is only in the kingdom of God that we find eternity. However, it is because of this ephemeral quality that inspires us to leave our mark with our fellow man.

Father Gerome, as your service to the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, and its community, ends, we think back to all your words and actions. These past few years, you have been a source of humor, of humility, of wisdom, and easy connection. Your good-natured personality and sense of humor, especially in your sermons, remind us that sometimes, members of the clergy are just as human as we all are.

Saying goodbye is never easy. But as you undertake your next assignment and your next parish, we wish you only the best. We wish you safe travels, an unburdened transition, and a sound and clear conscience in serving the Lord. And though saying farewell is always bittersweet, we would like to share this bible verse with you, Father.

From Ecclesiastes 3 : 1-8:

In today's Gospel, Jesus calls His disciples, gives them authority, and sends them out to proclaim the Good News, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." This passage reminds us that God does not only call the perfect or the most qualifiedโ€”He calls ordinary people and equips them for His mission. Just as the disciples were sent to share hope, healing, and faith, we too are invited to be witnesses of Christ in our daily lives.

As we reflect on this Gospel, may we have the courage to answer God's call with trust and generosity. Whether through our words, actions, or simple acts of kindness, we can bring God's love to those around us. The story of Jesus calling Matthew is a great reminder that our past doesn't define our future. Matthew was a tax collector, meaning most people hated him and saw him as a corrupt sellout. But Jesus walked right up to him, ignored his bad reputation, and simply said, "Follow me." Instead of making excuses, Matthew left everything behind to follow Him. Itโ€™s this beautiful, encouraging reminder that our past mistakes don't have to define our future.
