𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲

“𝐼𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑠ℎ𝑒𝑑.” — John 19:30

On this day, we commemorate the 𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚, honoring the Passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel today (John 18:1—19:42), walks us through the painful sufferings of Jesus, from His arrest in the garden, to His trial, His journey to Calvary, and His death on the cross. In every wound, every step, and every breath, we see a love that chooses to stay, to endure, and to give everything. Jesus, though innocent, carried the weight of our sins and embraced the cross, offering His life completely so that we may be saved, forgiven, and made new.

Good Friday reminds us that true love is not always easy or comfortable. It calls for sacrifice, patience, and self-giving. It is choosing to forgive when it hurts, to remain faithful in trials, and to give of ourselves even when it is difficult. His sacrifice speaks to us that we are worth dying for, worth saving, worth loving beyond measure. His Passion calls us to reflect deeply on how we love others, how we forgive, and how we choose to stand with those who suffer. Today marks the Sixth Sunday of Lent, also known as 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒎 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚. In today’s Gospel (Matthew 26:14—27:66), we journey through the Passion of Christ from His betrayal, suffering, and crucifixion, to His death on the cross. Jesus, though innocent, chose to endure pain and humiliation out of His immense love for us.

This Gospel invites us to reflect on the depth of Christ’s love—a love willing to suffer and give everything for our salvation. It reminds us that following Jesus is not only about moments of joy and praise, but also about carrying our own crosses with faith and trust in God. In our struggles, sacrifices, and trials, we are united with His Passion. May we open our hearts to fully receive the love He poured out for us on the Cross. | 🖊 Mikyla S.
