HONORING THE LEGACY OF GAMABA FU YABING | 112TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
In continued support, recognition, and appreciation of the enduring legacy of the late National Living Treasure Fu Yabing, the Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Museum Unit (ACTMU) commemorates her 112th Birth Anniversary this August 8.
In partnership with the LGU Polomolok Tourism Unit – Culture and Arts Section, we honor Fu Yabing’s life, artistry, and invaluable contribution to the preservation and transmission of Blaan weaving heritage, particularly the traditional Tabih.
Through her mastery of weaving, Fu Yabing safeguarded not only intricate patterns and techniques, but also the cultural knowledge, identity, stories, and traditions embedded in every woven piece.
Her legacy reminds us that weaving is more than an art—it is a living expression of identity, heritage, and memory.
