Sometimes, Lord, I admit: my heart gets heavy with what’s right in front of me. I want strength for the next ten steps, not just today. But You remind me: my portion for today is enough. If I bring You all my impatience, my doubts, my insufficient faith, will You meet me here? Let tomorrow be Yours. Today, just give me enough hope to keep my heart steady and enough strength to trust You in what I can’t see.

I confess, I often want to be the hero in my own story. But You’re the Author: you write hope into my unknown chapters. Breathe peace when anxiety tries to take over. Thank You for walking beside me in the mess and the miracle, in my questions and my quiet trust. I may not see what’s ahead, but I know Who holds it.

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:34)

Lord, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to search for the one who is lost, and I'm overwhelmed by a love that pursues so relentlessly.

When I wander off, when I stray from the path, when I find myself alone and afraid, You don't write me off or wait for me to find my way back on my own.

Teach me the depth of Your love that goes after the one, that sees every individual soul as worth the pursuit, that never gives up on anyone who's lost.

You left heaven's glory to come after me when I was lost, and You still pursue me every time I drift, calling me back with tender patience and unfailing love.

Help me see others the way You see them, to care about the one who's missing, to go after those who've wandered, to never stop praying for those who feel far from You.

Remind me that I am that one sheep, that You have searched for me, found me, carried me home on Your shoulders, and celebrated my return with joy.

Give me a heart like Yours that values every single person, that's willing to leave comfort to pursue the lost, that never stops believing in restoration and redemption.

Let me rest in the security of being loved by a Shepherd who will always come after me, who knows me by name, and who will never stop seeking until I'm safely home.

Amen.

When Parents die, nothing is the same anymore. We can no longer be children, we will no longer feel carried away by their hugs, kisses and words of encouragement. It seems like life is getting harder because their protective love is no longer there. When parents are no longer with us, we are orphans and that is hard regardlss of age. Even though you created your family, the face of your parents is ingrained in you for eternity. All people, even if we are adults, have this living child inside us who wants to be protected all the time by his parents. Turning to their unconditional love whenever necesary, but when they are gone, that option is no longer possible...
