There are different kinds of mothers—those who gave us life, those who didn't give birth but chose to love a child as if they are their own flesh and blood, and those who carried children in their wombs to complete another family.
A mother is not only found in blood, but also in the hands that fed us, the voices that comforted us, and the arms that caught us with every fall. From childhood wounds to heartbreaks, failures, and unsure futures, they stayed with us. They might be tired, concerned, and sometimes unappreciated but keep loving and giving without demanding anything in return.
Even when their children grow older, a mother never truly stops being a mother. She still waits for safe arrivals, prays for heavy hearts, and carries her children long after they have learned to walk on their own.
Today, we honor every kind of mother—biological, adoptive, foster, grandmother, aunt, sister, teacher, and guardian—and every woman who became a home for someone who needed one.
Happy Mother’s Day to the women whose love shaped lives in ways words could never fully measure.
