In the midst of my busiest week, when every minute felt spoken for, the message came: “Wara run c lola niyo.”💔😭 My heart still can’t wrap itself around it. You’ve passed away, and I’m left here, still trying to hold my own life together, wishing so desperately that I could have given you just a little more of me before you left. It aches so deeply to think that I didn’t come to see you these past few weeks—too wrapped up in my own rush, too sure there would be more time. That guilt sits heavy in my chest, a quiet, constant ache. I keep turning it over in my mind: I should have made the time. I should have been there. And I wonder—how do I find the strength to keep going when my heart feels this broken? How do I carry this weight, this longing, this regret?
Rest peacefully now, Lola. I’ll miss that smile that lit up your face the moment you heard my voice—the way you’d laugh at my silly jokes, and the way you’d laugh when I sang those songs you used to sing to me when I was little. I’ll miss the way you smiled when I brought you what you needed and wanted, the way we talked together while I tied your hair and gave you pedicures, and the way I’d lean on your chest and rest while you listened to me pour out everything life handed me. I’ll hold close those soft, sweet memories, and I’ll always remember the lullabies you sang to me, night after night, until I drifted off to sleep, safe and warm in your care. They’re etched in my heart forever, a treasure no one can take away.
This was the moment I feared most: losing you. 💔 You were my only kakampi, the only one who truly understood me. You’re always there for me when I was young, especially when my mom worked away from home. I was always Lola’s girl, and it hurts so much to lose you.
Thank you for every memory, Lola—every song, every smile, every moment of love you gave me. I’ll carry you with me always—your voice, your warmth, your love. I hope and pray that I can handle this and find the strength to move forward.
Makapuhay kaw run, la. Rest in eternal peace. I love you more than words can say, and I will miss you more than you’ll ever know. 🕊️🤍😭💔
