Jayson came from the quaint-little-old-tour-town Glan.
While most of his works depict subjects and themes that promotes the culture, heritage, customs and traditions of his locality and the country as a whole, he also works on subjects that portrays about โlife;โ its disparities, being resilient, and the unpredictability of life itself.
His works varies from simple local scenes and events to a more deep and profound narrative. He works toward unveiling every side of the story---from the unexposed or unacceptable reasoning to the generally accepted postulation yet subject and vulnerable to discourse.
The artistโs rendition of his artworks is the result of his untiring effort in discovering himself being an artist, his statement being an artist, and what he aims as an artist. He initially flourished from his stylized modern paintings with colors in zestful, vibrant, and spirited fashion. He later develops an illusion of collaged artwork, incorporating traditional textile designs and motif in the background. Currently, the artist amuse himself in applying balance and symmetry in his paintings with a subtle approach containing subjects and elements to symbolize meaning and elucidation of a certain issue or end.
Currently, he is a volunteer worker of Glan Culture and Arts Council and serves as the Chairperson of Visual Arts Committee since 2013 to present. He founded Magโglang Visual Arts Guild, recognized by the local government unit as the sole artist guild of the same town under the same council.
