In today's Gospel, we encounter the compassionate gaze of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who looks upon us as his sheep. He also calls the first Twelve Apostles by name. This personal calling reminds us that discipleship is never anonymous.

The calling of the Twelve remains deeply relevant today. The Church continues to be built not by perfect individuals, but by ordinary people transformed by God's grace. All of us are called to discipleship, and all of us are sent — to our homes, workplaces, schools, and society — to become witnesses of Christ's compassion. Like the Twelve, we are called by name and entrusted with a mission. 🙏💕

In today's Gospel, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Jesus said to the Jewish crowds. "I am the living bread that came down from heaven, whoever eats this bread will live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

In other words, Jesus is saying, "I will not just give blessings. Not just help. Not just mercy. I will give My very self." 🤍✨

As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity; one God in three Persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-living in eternal communion, we hear the heart of God revealed: "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son." The Father gives everything to the Son, and out of love, he gives the Son to the world. Jesus is sent not to condemn, but to save.

And so today, let this be our invitation. Many of us are tired-not because we have loved too little, but because we have loved so much while being afraid to receive love in return. God shows us that real love does both. So allow God to love you first. Rest in that love. Be healed by that love. 💕✨

Have a blessed 11th Sacerdotal Anniversary, Fr. Ned! 🙏✨

We celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost, which took place fifty days after Jesus rose from the dead. Today’s Gospel recounts Jesus’ first appearance to the Apostles as a group, Thomas being absent on the evening of the Resurrection.

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” ❤️✨

The Ascension of our Lord teaches us to LOOK UP. Lift our eyes to God. The lesson applies before we communicate outward, we must first look upward: our words, posts, and messages must be rooted in prayer, otherwise they risk becoming noise rather than witness.

When communication is grounded in prayer, it becomes a channel of grace, not division. Just as the apostles were empowered by the Spirit before preaching, so too must we be empowered by prayer before we communicate. So, let us not forget the importance of looking up. When life's burdens press us down, look up in prayer. 🙏✨

In today's Gospel brings us back to the heart of this communion. Jesus speaks tenderly to his troubled disciples. Offers comfort against anxiety, with Jesus promising to prepare a place for believers in His Father’s house. Jesus affirms, "I am the way, the truth, and the life," urging trust in Him as the sole path to the Father, rather than merely a destination.

Have a blessed Sunday and happy patronal fiesta, Sunny Brooke 1! 🤍🙏

In today's gospel, Gospel of Luke, we learn that even when Jesus is already with the disciples, they did not recognize Him right away, reminding us that we can sometimes miss God’s presence in our own lives. It teaches that by listening to His word and reflecting deeply, our faith can gradually grow stronger. In the end, the lesson is to keep our hearts and minds open so we can recognize Jesus in the simple, everyday moments of life. Have a blessed Sunday! 🙏💕
