โLet me share somethingโฆ scroll down if youโre not interested. This is going to be a long rant, so bear with me.
โ
โIf I speak up against failures in the government, why wouldnโt I speak up about this too?
โ
โEveryone knows Iโm competitive, but Iโm fvcking FAIR.
โEvery time I get the highest score in exams, I still double-check if it was checked correctly because I feel like there might be mistakes. I even once corrected our instructor because i know may mali sa questions niya.
โ
โBut you know whatโฆ this time I was shocked, and not just me, but others were surprised too.
โ
โ
โ
โThis isnโt bitterness. I applauded those who truly deserved their recognition. But I also know my performance, matataas ang scores ko sa exam, isa lang yata ang absent ko, and yet, this is how itโs handled? Bruh, are you guys gagoing me?
โ
โ
โ
โBut a smart friend of mine asked me right now:
โ
โ
โโHow are you not included?โ
โ
โ
โThen she hit me with, โI know youโre smart, pero bat ang tanga mo sa part nato?โ
โ
โ
โIt made me realize that in being fair to others, I forgot to be fair to myself. So i shouldn't just shut up. Right?
โ
โ
I donโt even know how I ended up in that situation.
โ
โ
โThey didnโt warn me, and they even put my name on the award list, giving me false hope. fck right?
โ
โ
โAs far as I can remember, my exam scores were high, I even ranked number one in the midterm, I was always present, and I was never informed that there was any deficiency. I expected everything to be fine because there were no warnings. They didnโt call me, and they even included my name in the list of awardees.
โ
โSo even if I didnโt plan to claim the award, I still expected my records to be okay. Then I only found out after graduation that there was a problem.
โ
โThey said na hindi daw โna-tap." yung records ko. So, is that my fault? They didnโt even give me a warning that something was wrong. How was I supposed to know? I honestly thought everything was fine. Kaya nga sinali yung name ko sa maaawardan daw kuno kasi mataas ang grado, pero akala ko lang pala.
โ
โUnless they based it on my overall grades, then maybe I could understand, since Iโm an irregular student and a transferee with some grades from MSU that arenโt that good. Doon masasabi kong may sabit talaga. But they said that wasnโt the basis.
โSo the real issue ay yung record ko sa SUBJECT na'yon.
โIf they had called me and informed me earlier, maybe I could have fixed it.
โ
โ
โItโs not my fault right? itโs their negligence.
โ
โIf you were behind this, if you were the one who neglected your responsibility, and yesterday you stood on that stage, smiling as you received your award while knowing you pulled someone else down, then all I can say is this: you didnโt deserve it.
โ
โHonesty and responsibility are supposed to be part of this program, yet wala kang pinakitang ganon. Sorry pero nakakahiya ka.
โ
โBut if itโs the systemโs fault, then that only proves how weak the system is, how flawed the program is. The system failed.
โIf you canโt even manage something as simple as this, how much more in real-life situations? How are you going to apply your knowledge there? Are you going to throw someone under the bus just to protect a broken system?
โ
โRight now, I feel betrayed, and the only way I can express that is through these words.
Iโm not mentioning anyone or any program, but you know who you are and what you did.
