Mamulalaay AKA Oliver Kinuyog of the Talaandig Tribe.

Oliverโ€™s relationship with his flutes runs deep. From the frustration of his first creation, he ended up throwing it away in the dense jungle, just for it to find its way back to him years later, through the flow of the river.

Just like his first creation, flowing back to him as its chosen vessel, Oliver now channels the flow and energy of Mamulalaay in his creations and music.

In the video you will witness and feel the flow of passion, and love for their creation, including other artists from the tribe, that are pursuing the craft of flute making.

Talaandig Tribe Creations

Meet Dungkuan of Katau Family. Besides molding bronze bangles, he specializes in bamboo carving, currently the only one dedicated to carving bamboo bangle locks, a very tedious skill that requires patience and focus.

A skill actively being passed down to the younger generation โค๏ธ

You can witness the evolution of his art on the bangles he wears ๐ŸŒ€

The Talaandig Tribe reminds us of the power of slow creation, our connection with nature, and our connection with the divine.

Their soul speaks not only through their crafts, but also their way of living.

The tribesโ€™ offering sustains not only our physical through the food they plant and harvest, but also sustains our soul through the crafts they share.

We are happy to introduce Katau, Mata ta Anlaw, and Mamulalaay.
