With four years of teaching experience, Maβam Crystal AJ B. Basay has made her mark as a passionate MAPEH teacher who goes beyond academics to shape the character and potential of her students. She has guided learners from Grade 4, Grade 7, and Senior High School, helping them not only in classroom lessons but also in developing discipline, resilience, and confidence. One of her most memorable experiences in her three years with the Department of Education was stepping into the role of an Arnis coach. A former athlete herself, this moment reconnected her to her roots and reminded her of the very reason she pursued a degree in Physical Education at West Visayas State UniversityβMain Campus. In her athletes, she saw reflections of her younger self, eager, determined, and filled with potential waiting to be unlocked.
Her influence extends far beyond academics and sports, leaving a lasting mark on the school community. As a coach, she created memories with her athletes that were both meaningful and transformative, proving that teaching is about shaping both minds and spirits. Colleagues and students admire Maβam Basay for her dedication and encouragement, as she continues to inspire learners to discover their strengths and push past their limits. From the classroom to the training ground, she embodies the values of hard work, perseverance, and inspiration. Her journey from athlete to educator is not only a personal achievement but also a story that inspires many, showing how education becomes a powerful tool in building dreams and shaping futures.
