Why WAXED THREAD for leather? 🧐

• The wax protects the thread. Leather is an abrasive material, so imagine uncoated thread going through leather stitching holes multiple times. It might not survive!

• You can also melt the wax to seal the knot at the end of your stitching.

• The wax protects the thread from further wear and tear when the bag or wallet is in use.

So yes, leather crafting requires this special type of thread ✨
