Merry Christmas!

Today we celebrate the profound mystery proclaimed in the Gospel: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us" (John 1:14). Pope Leo XIII beautifully reminded the faithful that by this act, the Son of God "redeemed man for His own," paying an infinite price to restore our dignity and bring us back to the Father.

Let us heed the joyous call of St. Augustine, who cried out, "Awake, mankind! For your sake God has become man." The waiting is over, and the Light has truly come into the world to dispel the darkness. May the joy and peace of the newborn King fill your hearts and homes this
Christmas day!

REJOICE! THE LORD IS COMING!

We are halfway through Advent! Today we wear Rose because the darkness is fading and the celebration is near.

Today’s Gospel (Mt 11:2-11) reminds us to open our eyes to the miracles around us—just as Jesus told John’s disciples to look at the works He was doing. The signs are there if we look for them.

The Lord is coming. Let your heart be light today!

A Light in the Darkness

Today, we celebrate the Memorial of St. Lucy, whose name means “Light.” Her unshakable courage reminds us that true vision comes from faith, not sight. May her example inspire us to be beacons of hope, trusting that the Light of Christ shines brightest even in the darkest moments. Happy Feast Day!

🙏 Prayer: May the glorious intercession of the Virgin and Martyr Saint Lucy give us new heart, we pray, O Lord, so that we may celebrate her heavenly birthday at present and behold things eternal. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

🌹 Happy Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! 🌹

Today, we honor the “Empress of the Americas” and the Secondary Patroness of the Philippines. In 1531, she appeared to St. Juan Diego in Mexico, leaving her miraculous image on his tilma as a lasting sign of her maternal love. Because of our deep historical ties with Mexico through the Galleon Trade, Pope Pius XI declared her our Celestial Patroness in 1935 (later designated as Secondary Patroness by Pope Pius XII), marking her forever as a protector of the Filipino people alongside the Immaculate Conception.

🙏 Official Prayer:O God, who placed your people under the singular protection of your Son’s most holy Mother, grant that all who invoke the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe may seek with ever more lively faith the progress of peoples in the ways of justice and of peace. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Today, December 8, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, honoring the moment our Blessed Mother was conceived in the womb of St. Anne free from the stain of Original Sin—a truth held by the faithful for centuries before Pope Pius IX officially declared it a dogma in 1854. For us Filipinos, this feast holds a special place in our hearts as she is the Principal Patroness of the Philippines, a title rooted in our history since 1571 when Miguel López de Legazpi consecrated the city of Manila to her protection. As a Pueblo Amante de María, let us attend Mass today and ask for her intercession, praying: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!” 🙏🇵🇭💙

The Season of Advent is a time of "devout and expectant delight," inviting us to prepare our hearts not only for the celebration of Christ’s birth but also for His promised return (CCC 524). This period of waiting is marked by the color purple because it carries a deep twofold meaning: it is the color of kings, symbolizing our anticipation of the "King of Kings," while simultaneously serving as a sign of penance that calls us to cleanse our hearts through prayer and conversion. Rather than a time of sadness, this "royal purple" signals a hopeful journey, reminding us to ready our lives with quiet joy and dignity for the Savior who draws near (CFC 1578).
