1. Produce a short video that showcases Davao Cityโs core principlesโโKini ang Dabawโ
The video may feature one or more of the values listed below:
โข Asenso para sa tanan
โข Nagkahiusa ang matag pamilya
โข Ginoo ang sentro sa tanan
โข Disiplinado ang Katawhan
โข Aktibo ang kabatan-onan
โข Balaod nga patas sa tanan
โข Ang droga ug krimen atong kalaban
โข Walaโy diskriminasyon sa tinuohan
2. This contest is open to all video-savvy residents of Davao Cityโwith a special call for student filmmakers, particularly those in senior high school and college.
Participants must submit a proof of identification showing Davao City as their residence such as: company ID, school ID, any government-issued ID, Barangay Certificate, proof of billing, or any similar document reflecting Davao City as address. Failure to provide proof of residence shall lead to the participantโs disqualification.
3. The competition is FREE with no registration fee required.
4. All entries should have been created from May 29 to June 29, 2026 and should be based on the theme: โ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ #๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ
5. Only one (1) entry per participant/team is allowed.
6. All entries must be submitted in the following format:
a. All entries should start with a 3-second black screen and end with a 5-second title screen that would include the following:
โข City Government of Davao logo
โข Text: DESTINATION: DAVAO 2025
โข โTitle of the Videoโ
โข Name of the Production Team (for groups) or Producer/Directorโs Name (for individual)
b. The length of the video should not be shorter than one minute and should not exceed three minutes.
c. All entries must be submitted in a digital format with a minimum resolution size of 1280x720 up to 4k maximum quality.
d. Acceptable formats include: MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, MPG.
7. Entries must be the original work, owned and recorded by the participant and must not have been used and/or entered in any other contest or published in any media and posted online for whatever purpose, prior to the start and during the competition.
8. AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE OF A PARTICULAR PRODUCT. Prolonged exposure
of brands and establishments in the video is not allowed. Name brands can appear in the video provided that they are not blatantly promoted.
9. Entries with video clips taken OUTSIDE DAVAO CITY will be automatically disqualified.
10. Entries with video clips that are in violation to any laws and ordinances of the city will be automatically disqualified.
11. All costs of the production of the film will be borne by the participant.
12. It shall be the participantโs responsibility to seek permission in the use of the name, images, sound, and video recordings of all the persons/entities recognizable in the video.
13. No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) or trademarks may be used unless the participant owns the copyright or has a license to use the material for this contest.
14. The organizers of the competition do not assume any responsibility for any violation of intellectual property by any participant.
15. By submitting an entry to this competition, the participant agrees to the rules and regulations of the contest. The City Government of Davao reserves the right to publish or display any entry (in whole or part), winning or non-winning, for promotional purposes, with due acknowledgement of the original owner of the video. Such right to use is royalty-free and no payment is, or shall be due to the participant.
16. The organizers reserve the right to amend the contest rules as it deems fit, without prior notice.
17. The decision of the judges is final. However, violation to any of the aforementioned rules and/or non-compliance of the same shall be a ground for automatic disqualification.
18. Finalists will be qualified as candidates for the Special Distinction Award.
19. SUBMISSION:
Participants are required to submit the following.
a. Duly accomplished Registration Form
b. Scanned copy of proof of residence in Davao City such as: Company ID, School ID, any government-issued ID, Barangay Certificate, proof of billing, or any similar document reflecting a Davao City address.
c. Final exported video in digital format (Refer to item 6)
d. Exported video with ambience and sound bites only โ without musical scoring and graphics
