Practicing and recalibrating oil.

Tried to pick up brush today and decided to just randomly paint someone/something from my phone photos using the student-grade oil paints I had. I had to dust off all materials coz it's been ages since I sat on my workspace.

It's been so hard lately and I'm procrastinating. Locked myself to the room and ignore the world.

I'm trying. Really.

Work in progress:

"Felinda"
16 x 16 inches canvas in mixed media

A birthday present for myself. Paying homage to our feline family members (including those who are now in furheaven, running free) and to my wondercatwoman. ⭐✨🐈

True artistry isn't just about technique, but about a humble posture toward the world and a kind, attentive heart. The art that moves us most often springs from that place.

The ultimate goal of art isn't decoration or investment—it's resonance. You spend months, sometimes years, to just come up with one compelling work. You wrestle with materials, with meaning, with the gap between what you see in your mind and what you can force into reality.

Most of the time, people only see the surface level of a masterpiece to appreciate art and did not spend time to discern what the artists' trying to convey, the unspoken narrative and those that touches the immeasurable. Resonance, unfortunately, is always a distant dream. While the market can be noisy and cynical, the artist's true intention is what matters.

It's not about survival alone, but also the impact.

The story of Odin and the butterfly machine proves it. For a non-speaking boy, an art installation piece didn't just hang on a wall—it unlocked his first word. The artist, hearing this, didn't just sell the piece; he gave it away.

In that exchange, art fulfilled its purest purpose: not to hold value, but to give a voice. The real masterpiece wasn't the object. It was the moment it created. That's the ripple we're really here to make.

For those who knew my previous page, you might notice things look a little different here. I decided to decommission the old page to start fresh—a blank canvas, if you will.

This new space isn't just a portfolio of finished works; it’s a documentation of the journey. As an artist who is still learning, exploring, and mastering the craft every day, I wanted a space that feels real.

Here's throwback video I did back in 2021. A 14 x 18 inches acrylic on canvas.
