“LANOG SALIYAW” A virtual dance concert for a cause Christmas Special

Maayong Gabii sa inyong tanan! And welcome to Lanog Saliyaw, a virtual Christmas concert for a cause in partnership with Robin Padilla de May Pag-Asa.

Saliyaw Folkloric Ensemble is known for being a staunch advocate of cultural diversity and preservation through a creative demonstration of love for the culture and arts.

It is one of the active cultural groups based in Davao City and has been taking part in cultural events inside and outside the region with its purpose to promote culture and tradition by portraying the creative side of a tribe in focus while incorporating significant values.

Christmas this year is much more different than before as we continue to combat this imperceptible opponent. 2020 has been a difficult year for the most of us as we face different challenges especially the COVID-19 pandemic which has greatly affected our brothers and sisters and there are still those who continue to battle the adversities caused by this global crisis, but despite it all, we continue to celebrate life and triumph over challenges by lending a helping hand to those in need.

Join us, as the Saliyaw Folkloric Ensemble and Robin Padilla De May Pag-Asa celebrates the most wonderful time of the year through a Christmas concert for a cause entitled, Lanog Saliyaw.

With your generosity, we will be able to extend help to Mr. and Mrs. Graciano dela Cruz, an old PWD couple from Poblacion, Matanao, Davao del Sur. Through your generous hearts, we will be able to give Tatay
Graciano and Nanay Loreta, a simple yet joyous Christmas celebration like no other.

The Saliyaw Folkloric Ensemble will show you various performances of the Mindanaon culture, Christmas caroling, dances and many more. At this time of the pandemic and whatever challenges that come our way, the Saliyaw Folkloric Ensemble will continue doing our duty, our call and our passion.

While it is apparent that we are currently under siege against this imperceptible opponent, we have brothers and sisters who were greatly affected and are still battling the adversities caused by this global crisis. This includes our displaced artists who have lost their primary source of income because of the strict prohibition of holding events and mass gatherings.
And in this season of giving, we continue to celebrate life and triumph over challenges by lending a helping hand to those in need. Join us, as the Saliyaw Folkoric Ensemble in partnership with the Robin Padilla MayPag-asa Organization celebrate the most wonderful time of the year through a virtual dance concert for a cause, entitled “Lanog Saliyaw”- a colorful repertoire of performance arts which depicts our vibrant culture and tradition as Mindanaoan. Virtual show will be on December 21, 2020 at 6PM via Facebook Live.
With your generosity, we can be able to extend help to our displaced artist- friends for them to also have a merry celebration of Christmas with their loved ones. Plus, half of the over-all proceeds of the event will be given to Mr. And Mrs. Graciano Dela Cruz, an old PWD couple from Poblacion, Matanao, Davao Del Sur, as our adopted family.
