Color & Reflect
By sisters.creative.space
Hosted by yours truly
A soft, intimate gathering where we introduced ourselves by sharing what color we felt like that day ๐จ
We spent an hour quietly coloring, slowing down, taking a pause from the busyness of the world.
After that, we did a reflective activity I call โThe Colors We Have.โ
Each person started with different coloring materials. Some had more, while others only had a small set of colored pencils. Every 15 minutes, the materials would change.
With one rule in mind, no loud reactions, no comments, just feel what comes up and take note of it. At the end, we gathered and shared our reflections.
Some of the insights that came up:
1. You can have everything in life, yet things can change in an instant. One day you have it all, the next itโs taken away. A reminder to stay grateful and not take things for granted.
2. We may plan our lives so carefully, but unexpected changes can shift everything. And sometimes, those unexpected turns lead us somewhere even more beautiful, transforming us from within.
3. Beauty doesnโt come from abundance alone. Sometimes, the most meaningful art is created through resourcefulness, making the most out of what we have, even if itโs just a single colored pencil.
After the activity we assembled our coloring books by binding them with ribbons. Everyone did theirs in their fun creative way and that was how we 'wrapped' up the afternoon. ๐
Alhamdulillah ๐ค
