Naranasan mo na bang ma-reject o itaboy ng mga taong inaasahan mo, tapos parang pakiramdam mo wala kang silbi? ❤️🩹
Yung tipong gusto mong ipakita sa kanila na kaya mo naman pala.
Na you're doing well.
Na hindi ka failure, at hindi ka yung taong akala nila.
Maybe you've experienced rejection from family, friends, or people you once trusted.
And sometimes, without realizing it, we start making decisions just to prove our worth.
We work harder than we need to.
We say YES kahit gusto na nating magpahinga.
We take on more responsibilities because we want to feel needed.
We push ourselves to succeed because we want people to see what they're missing.
But let's talk about Jephthah in JUDGES 11. 📖
💜 HE WAS REJECTED, BUT HIS STORY DIDN'T END THERE.
Jephthah was a mighty warrior, but his half-brothers drove him away because of his family background.
Imagine being rejected by your own family because of something you didn't choose.
But later, when Israel needed someone to lead them into battle, the elders of Gilead approached Jephthah.
The man they once rejected was now the man they needed.
Here's something worth remembering:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND YOUR ENTIRE LIFE PROVING YOUR WORTH TO PEOPLE WHO ONCE REJECTED YOU.
Your value doesn't increase just because people finally recognize your abilities.
Hindi ka nagiging valuable dahil kailangan ka na nila.
You already have worth, even when others fail to see it.
But there's another important lesson in this chapter.
⚠️ NOT EVERY DECISION MADE IN DESPERATION IS A DECISION MADE IN FAITH.
Before going into battle, Jephthah made a vow to the Lord.
Unfortunately, his promise led to a devastating situation involving his only daughter.
The passage is tragic, and the Bible does not present his vow as something we should imitate.
God does not require us to make reckless promises or bargain for His favor.
Sometimes, when we're desperate, we make commitments without considering the consequences.
Minsan, dahil ayaw nating ma-disappoint ang ibang tao, YES tayo nang YES kahit hindi na natin kaya.
Sometimes, we take opportunities because we're afraid another one won't come.
And sometimes, we make promises to God because we desperately want Him to answer our prayers.
But remember this:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO SACRIFICE YOUR WISDOM JUST TO PROVE YOUR FAITHFULNESS.
It's okay to pause.
It's okay to pray first.
It's okay to seek godly counsel.
And it's okay to say NO when a commitment isn't wise or something you can responsibly fulfill.
🌿 THREE REMINDERS FROM JUDGES 11
✨ 1. YOUR PAST DOESN'T DEFINE YOUR FUTURE.
People may have rejected you, underestimated you, or misunderstood your story.
But their opinions don't have to dictate who you become.
✨ 2. DON'T MAKE DECISIONS JUST TO PROVE YOURSELF.
Before saying YES, ask yourself: Am I doing this because it's wise and right, or because I'm afraid of disappointing someone?
✨ 3. CONSIDER THE PEOPLE AFFECTED BY YOUR CHOICES.
Our decisions aren't always personal in their impact.
Our words, commitments, and actions can affect the people we love.
That's why we need God's wisdom — not just to succeed, but to live in a way that honors Him and considers others.
Judges 11 reminds us that God specializes in using people who feel disqualified.
Maybe you've been rejected.
Maybe you've been overlooked.
Walk forward with grace.
Trust His heart today, speak words of life, and walk forward in the confidence that the Spirit of the Lord goes with you!
Much Love,
Issa C.
