I woke up one morning and I felt a strong desire to put into canvas our dearest first great granddaughter, Gusty. However, since I am just a self-taught artist with no formal schooling in the arts, an impressionist who started to paint at the age of 66 in New Zealand and avoided doing portraits, I was reluctant to start; but, I finally mustered the courage and picked up a canvas and made some sketches on it. I have finally a work in progress and it scares me that I might ruin it as put on more details. I like how it is progressing though and I ask again the Holy Spirit to guide me in its final stages, in a week or so, if Jesus would allow me the time. So that I do not stop, I am publishing it, unfinished.
