In commemoration of Women’s Month, the BCAEd performers set the stage ablaze with passion, power, and purpose through Juana Play—a dramatic showcase that dared to tell the stories long kept in the shadows.
Spearheaded by the JRMSU–Rizal Center for Culture, Peace, and Creative Works (RCCPCW), in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office of the JRMSU Main Campus, and brought to life by the talented Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education Drama 2 students.
Women have always been the backbone of every story—the ones who love deeply, sacrifice endlessly, and continue to rise even when the world turns away. They carry unseen battles and unspoken wounds, wearing strength like a second skin even in their most fragile moments. For too long, these stories have been silenced and forgotten. But not tonight. Juana Play brought them to light—front and center, where they belong—demanding to be seen, heard, and felt.
The night featured eight soul-stirring performances that left the audience breathless:
🎭 Taya — Maeven Claire Galabin & Windel Saldon
🎭 Kadugo — Kaye Montecalvo & Roxanne Mae Gahisan
🎭 Pitik — Jhaziel Galvez & John Rex Mayormita
🎭 For the One Who Let Me Play — Kent Harvey Maghanoy
🎭 Ang Katapusang Panamilit — Jamaica M. Balucan & Lovely Fj Dalman
🎭 Ang Katapusang Klase — Dexter Yves Jatico & Claire Pacaro
🎭 Ang Nahabilin nga Plato — Evieros Obordo & Kyle Luis Sumalpong
🎭 Scar Behind the Spotlight — Arvelyn Lecias & Philrigor Nalzaro
With a special performance by Filamie Joy O. Sami, proudly representing Teyatro Dasuliman.
Scene after scene, emotion after emotion—they did not simply perform, they poured themselves into every moment. The kind of performance that lingers long after the curtain falls. The kind that makes you reflect, feel deeply, and see the world differently.
BCAEd, this was more than a show. It was a voice. A movement. A conversation that needed to happen.
To every performer who stood bravely on that stage, congratulations—you were nothing short of extraordinary. 🎭🔥💜
