Things I learned for the past 7 years since I entered "real" Adulthood.
1. Living and surviving is a whole different thing.
- You may be breathing, you may have a pulse and a heart that's beating, but when you are unhappy, frustrated, disappointed, you're not ALIVE. You're just surviving.
2. Most people on earth finds it hard to be Human.
- Countless people will feed on your weakness, your desperation, they will bleed you dry emotionally. It sucks. But most of the time you have no choice, because you have to survive.
3. Blood is not thicker than water.
- Most of the time, you'll find refuge in other people's arm. There will be strangers who will feel your pain and extend a helping hand in a way you never expected. And you'll treasure them to the point that you'll promise to pay back the kindness they give a thousand folds when things for you get better.
4. Crying helps.
- It keeps you going. It keeps you alive.
5. Complete family doesn't mean having both of your parents.
- A happy relationship with your kids is enough than a toxic one. Stop holding on something that is not worth holding on just to stop the people around from gossiping and judging you.
