Plamendura Art is a multidisciplinary creative artist working across various artistic levels to develop and promote gothic culture worldwide. Plamena Chelavrova was born in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, into a family where science and art met—her mother being a teacher of physics and astronomy, and her father a fine and applied artist.
🦇Growing up in an environment fueled by both science and creativity, she developed a wide range of interests and a profound curiosity for rediscovering the world. The synergy between these two worlds pushed her toward both spiritual enrichment and practical development within scientific circles and the depths of self-expressive art.
🦇In the summer of 2011, she founded the gothic art organization Bulgarian Gothic Girls, immortalizing a powerful period for gothic culture in Bulgaria through fashion shows, themed parties, beauty and style contests, creative gatherings, and even television appearances.
🦇After 2017, she shifted her focus toward developing the international organization World Gothic Models (founded in 2013). This period sparked numerous new projects and collaborations with fashion brands and artists globally, including crafting and recreating collectible items and jewelry, fashion and product photography, and secret ventures into the music scene. Her tireless passion for gothic art constantly seeks new forms of expression.
🦇A key highlight of her work is her collaboration with Joseph Vargo of the neo-classical duo Nox Arcana and his Monolith Graphics (USA). The creative spark for this project was ignited during a three-year partnership through contests organized by Plam as part of World Gothic Models, where Vargo served as a sponsor. This period opened new horizons for joint work, leading to the decision to breathe three-dimensional life into Joseph’s iconic illustrations - the creator of ultimate occult artifacts filled with mystery and symbolism.
