PNP ARRESTS 14 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS IN SUSTAINED MANHUNT CAMPAIGN

The Philippine National Police (PNP) sustained its nationwide campaign against wanted persons after police units across the country successfully arrested several high-priority fugitives in separate manhunt operations conducted on August 6 and early August 7, 2026.

Among those apprehended were a No. 10 Most Wanted Person wanted for r**e in Cagayan; a No. 5 Most Wanted Person facing statutory r**e and related sexual offenses in Lanao del Norte; No. 6 and No. 7 Most Wanted Persons separately wanted for violations of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 in Cebu and Bohol; and a No. 5 Most Wanted Person charged with murder in Cebu City. Police also arrested a No. 10 Most Wanted Person wanted for two counts of r**e in Cotabato.

Also taken into custody were a No. 7 Most Wanted Person facing ten counts of qualified r**e of a minor in Pangasinan; a No. 8 Most Wanted Person wanted for qualified r**e in La Union; a No. 4 Most Wanted Person facing a murder case in Davao City; and a No. 8 Most Wanted Person facing two counts of statutory r**e in Davao del Sur.

The operations likewise resulted in the arrest of two regionally listed Most Wanted Persons separately wanted for r**e and statutory r**e in Cavite, another wanted person facing multiple counts of acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act No. 7610 in Zamboanga del Norte, and a No. 5 Most Wanted Person facing statutory r**e and violations of Republic Act Nos. 11930 and 10175 in Laguna.

All were arrested by virtue of valid warrants of arrest issued by the courts and are now under the custody of the concerned police units for proper legal proceedings.

These accomplishments reinforce the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations by strengthening nationwide manhunt efforts and improving the implementation of warrant service operations. They likewise support the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to uphold the rule of law and enhance public safety through effective law enforcement.

Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. lauded the operating units for their dedication and professionalism in carrying out the successful operations.

"Kapag may warrant na inilabas ang korte, tungkulin nating tiyakin na ito ay maipatupad nang maayos, ligtas, at naaayon sa batas. Hindi tayo titigil sa paghahanap sa mga taong umiiwas sa hustisya. Kasabay nito, mananatili nating ginagalang ang karapatan ng bawat indibidwal at ang tamang proseso sa bawat operasyon," PGen Nartatez said.

Through sustained police operations and active community cooperation, the PNP remains steadfast in advancing Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.

PNP ARRESTS THREE WANTED PERSONS FACING MURDER CASES, INCLUDING ₱140K REWARD SUBJECT

Three wanted persons facing murder-related charges were arrested in separate police operations across the country on August 8, 2026, including one who carried a ₱140,000.00 government reward.

In Silay City, Negros Occidental, police arrested a Filipino of legal age who is ranked No. 8 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office Negros Island Region. He was apprehended by Silay City Police Station personnel by virtue of a warrant for Murder, with no bail recommended.

In Pikit, Cotabato, police arrested another Filipino of legal age, who is the No. 9 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 12. He was apprehended by personnel of the Pikit Municipal Police Station and 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company, with support from Regional Intelligence Unit 12 and Regional Intelligence Division 12. He is facing Multiple Murder with Multiple Frustrated Murder, with no bail recommended.

Meanwhile, in Pasig City, police arrested a Filipino of legal age listed as the No. 4 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 1, who was covered by a ₱140,000.00 reward pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-022. He was apprehended by personnel of the Vigan City Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office, with support from the District Intelligence Division and Eastern Police District, by virtue of a warrant for Murder, with no bail recommended.

The arrests are part of the PNP’s continuing campaign to locate wanted persons through coordinated and intelligence-supported operations, consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO).

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said police units must remain persistent in locating wanted persons while ensuring that every arrest is conducted within the law.

“Hindi natatapos ang trabaho sa pagkuha ng warrant. We have to locate the person, make the arrest properly, and turn him over to the proper authorities. That is how we make police operations both effective and accountable,” PGen Nartatez said.

The PNP’s sustained efforts support the peace and order priorities of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and reinforce its commitment to “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” through lawful, responsive and accountable police service.
