Every Surf-X is handcrafted from a solid block of mahogany in our workshop in Compostela, Cebu. It's a slower way of making ukuleles, but we believe it's worth it.

These photos were taken just after the final stage of the crafting process, when the strings and tuning pegs had just been fitted and the instrument was finally ready to be played.

The Surf-X began as an idea from our founder, Ritchie Wagas, with artwork designed by Gideon Wagas of Pugo Studio.

Unlike traditional ukuleles that are built from bent sides, every Wagas Surf-X is cut directly from a solid block of mahogany. This approach gives us the freedom to explore shapes and designs that make each piece truly our own.
