Witness 𝗞𝘂𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗮𝘄𝗽 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗱𝗹𝗮𝘄 (𝗔𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘀) — the first undergraduate thesis film by Godfrey “Ping” Petallar, a BA Communication (Film Media) graduating student under the Department of Communication and Media Studies.
Grounded in social drama and realism, the film follows an aging trans woman living in solitude, whose life quietly intertwines with a young q***r individual and a curious child. In these fleeting yet profound encounters, the film traces the invisible threads that bind generations of q***r experience—what is passed down, what is inherited, and what remains unresolved.
Set in the margins of Cebu City, it reflects on the marginalization of q***r lives—especially those aging and often unseen—while honoring their resilience, sacrifices, and the freedoms they helped shape. It is a tender story of memory, survival, and love. A story by the q***r, for the q***r.
