I DO NOT CELEBRATE APRIL FOOL’S

I’ve never really gotten into the culture of April Fool’s Day and here’s why:

There’s an argument that the timing of this day isn’t random. Some believe that the true celebration of Jesus’ birth aligns more closely with the season of spring a time of renewal, life, and light.

But instead of honoring that, the narrative shifted. What was once meaningful became something mocked.

Think about it: why call it “April Fool’s”? Who exactly is being labeled the fool?

To me, it raises questions. If this season was meant to symbolize something sacred new beginnings, truth, and life then turning it into a day centered on deception and trickery feels intentional. Almost like a distraction. A way to redirect focus away from something deeper.

That’s why I choose not to participate. Not out of judgment for others, but out of personal conviction. I’d rather reflect on truth than celebrate confusion, and meaning rather than misdirection.

Just something to think about.
