I never thought I'd be able to encounter someone like Jinu in my life... A boy who needs rescuing from his own misery and pain, only ever needed someone to show him the way of how he can let go from his past mistakes.

But silly me, how could I?
I can't even fix myself.

Just like how Rumi sang it: "𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚."

We really needed someone who makes us feel seen and accepted for who we really are because that's where real love lies.

Sometimes, holding on to someone who doesn't want to try their best to take that one step towards hope in order to change their life for the better isn't enough... Jinu and Rumi were each other's motivators but in the end, Jinu only became a part of Rumi as she fought alone with his demon.

𝙄 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚."

As viewers, we all really just want someone to stay and hold our hand in difficult times but as we watch this movie, we get to be reminded that we can only ever be part of someone's life and it's okay to never end up with them because like Rumi, we still have that spark within us even if everybody or our own 'Jinu' no longer believe in us or leave us. I hope we still get to shine the way we do, only ever bringing out the best in ourselves.

It's tragic to see that Jinu got devoured by his own demons right after Rumi set his soul free at the end of the movie because we all were cheering for the both of them to be happy but you'll just realized then that those things needed to happen in order for us to realize what is meant for Rumi and yes, she was always meant to be a Kpop idol and not Jinu's lover.

"𝘓𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦?"

'Just a short line that Rumi said really 'hit home' for me. It's this very scene where you just wish that the very first people in your life (your parents), who you want to trust and rely on in this world from the moment you are born, are the ones you expect to willingly accept who you really are. But turns out they are the very first ones who get confused and ashamed of what you really are and never try and bother to understand your own soul.

I definitely get why Rumi sought comfort with Jinu in this movie... As someone who gets to bear all the pain and pressure in the world alone, Rumi really needed someone to understand her like Jinu did. But Jinu betrayed her so she had no choice and ran back to her aunt begging her aunt to either end her suffering or to accept who she really was...

But her aunt still wanted to cover her up and that 'dry' look in her eyes at the end of the clip really declared 'defeat' and wanting to give up everything that mattered to her which supposedly gave her purpose is very relatable.

I couldn't remember how many times I have begged and gone through the same situation Rumi did in this clip in my own life but this movie really did great in showing the despair Rumi hid all along. 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱.

In the end, I got to realize why things and relationships had to unfold and end in my own life and why it was the way it is... I realized that we all just have to try despite the flaws we have and to own it so that the good parts of ourselves can still shine.✨

This movie is really moving and therapeutic to watch and I recommend this 💯 Kpop: Demon Hunters is showing now on netflix!
