Tops ArtFest

Last October, Tops ArtFest 2025 brought together works that carried different histories, perspectives, and ways of seeing. 

TOPS was filled with large-scale paintings and intimate studies, every piece transformed the space into a living archive of Cebuano and Filipino creativity, layered with memory, process, influence, and time. What stayed with us were the works themselves: the textures, the details, the conversations they quietly created between artist and viewer. 


Some pieces challenged, some comforted, some lingered long after leaving the space. 

Tops ArtFest became more than an exhibition. It became a meeting point for artists, practices, and generations connected through art.

And this year, we look forward to building that space again.

Tops Art Fest was all about the people — artists, families, friends, students, and creatives who showed up ready to celebrate art in the best way possible. 🎨✨

For three days, the mountain turned into a space full of energy and connection. Everywhere you looked, people were talking, laughing, learning, and creating. Every corner had a moment worth remembering.

This year proved how strong and alive Cebu’s art community really is when everyone comes together with the same passion. 🌄💛

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made the fest what it was — your energy carried the whole weekend.
And we’re already excited for what’s next.

2026 is going to be bigger, brighter, and even more high-energy — more people, more creativity, more everything. ⚡️🎨

The drawing area became one of the most loved corners of the fest — a space where everyone jumped in, sketched, and left their mark.

Attendees filled the walls with quick doodles, playful portraits, and little sketches that showed their creativity in real time.

Simple, spontaneous, and open to all — this space reminded us that art doesn’t need rules to bring people together.

Tops Art Fest brought together artists, audiences, and the community in a space built for creativity. 

Across four days, the installations, talks, workshops, performances, and the Legacy Tour highlighted the strength and range of Cebu’s art scene.
Each moment showed how art grows when people come together to learn, share, and create.

In this video, Humaida Jumalon reflects on the life and artistry of her late father, Julian Jumalon—his creative process, his passion, and the stories behind the pieces she holds closest to her heart. His works remain warm, intricate, and deeply tied to Cebu’s artistic heritage.
Beyond his canvases, one of Julian Jumalon’s greatest achievements lives on in the UP Cebu Fine Arts Program, which he helped establish—an enduring contribution that continues to shape Cebu’s creative landscape.

As Humaida speaks, she becomes a quiet mirror of his legacy—carrying it the way a canvas carries light, allowing the depth and spirit of his work to shine through.
