We’re back at The Other Pavement Records on July 24th for another special edition of WAX ON! WAX OFF! a unique pop-up session where the classic warmth of vinyl meets fresh digital selection.

We are pulling out all the stops for this one and bringing in some serious heat all the way from Manila: special guest CHEEKS (representing the Plus234 Afro Scene Community)! 🇵🇭🔥

Looking back at last Saturday, we’re filled with nothing but gratitude. Not bad for our second time around! 🌴✨

Let’s take it back for a second: In 2024, PHIRE Starter joined Fête de la Musique Cebu as just a performance slot on the main stage. By 2025, we took a leap of faith and built our very own Tropical Thunder Stage, curated specifically to highlight DJ selectors and artists bringing that pure tropical, island-vibe music. 🌊🏝️

Fast forward to last weekend—our second year running the stage. This time around, the energy was beautifully intimate, cozy, and laser-focused on letting the Afro Sound truly shine through a handpicked lineup of heavy-hitting selectors and an incredible artist. 🥁🔥

Huge shoutout to Elinor Cafe for helping us bring the vision to life. Together, we built what we confidently feel was our best-looking, most aesthetic, and “Instagrammable” stage setup yet. The vibe was unmatched! 🕯️🖼️

This occasion was another milestone for the collective, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the visionaries behind the decks. A massive thank you to: 🎧 Our brilliant DJ Selectors: KIT, Kiezo, DJ LIT, and MISTERMIL. 🎤 And the artist on the bill who made the effort to show up and completely shell it down: Drippie Eric.

More than just a lineup, these individuals are genuinely keeping the music flame alive for this sound in Cebu. 🌊🔥

👥 And most importantly, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who came through, danced, and shared the space with us.

That is an official wrap on Fête De La Musique 2026. We are locked in, building, and we absolutely cannot wait to do this all over again in 2027. 🤝🚀
