Rap Artists Sica and Paul N Ballin revealed that the Hip-Hop Jam Cebu Fest was canceled due to the organizers failing to pay most of the artists, despite fully compensating only a select few. Although the official reason cited for the cancellation was bad weather, Sica clarified that the weather was only a minor issue and not the actual cause. Several artists have already lodged complaints with the authorities.

The festival was set to feature acts such as Hev Abi, Downtown Q, Hellmerry, Sica, Zae, Paul N Ballin, Pl***oy Baby, Sordan, Mike Swift, Winston Lee, Cookies, $ho, Dap, Mistah Lefty, Sobv, DJ Rdale, DJ Charlz, and Bmac. To salvage their trip, some of the artists have chosen to remain in Cebu and perform at local bars instead.
