Inspired by the vision of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, who believed that culture and the arts are powerful paths to foster understanding, kindness, and peace, the concert gathered 70 choristers from three Cebuano chorale groups in a celebration of friendship through music. Every harmony echoed the values of compassion, respect, and unity that transcend differences and bring people closer together.
With the wholehearted support and guidance of Venerable Yung Guang, this evening became more than a musical performanceโit became a living expression of Humanistic Buddhism, where every voice served as a bridge connecting hearts, inspiring hope, and cultivating harmony within our community.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the Salazar Singing Ambassadors, Los Cantantes Cebu, and the Everlight Vocal Ensemble, under the musical direction of Mr. Barret Oliver Richards, as well as the Siddhartha Technical Theater Program, under the mentorship of Mr. Paul Lambert David, whose dedication and artistry made this meaningful evening possible. Together, your talents remind us that music is a universal languageโone that transcends differences, nurtures understanding, and builds lasting friendships.
May this be the first of many gatherings where melodies continue to inspire compassion, deepen connections, and carry forward the spirit of harmony envisioned by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
