"A responsible kid from Nigeria."
Divine Adili was a responsible and disciplined young athlete.
In an interview with Prince Eze Nnamdi, Divine's family representative and a friend - he tells how hard it is for Nigerians to have the opportunity to play in the Philippines and the sacrifice their family has to make.
"Some of us that came here, our parents have to sell something. either they sell our land, if they have a car they sell it, maybe they borrow money.. for us to have a flight to get here."
"Because trust me, it's not easy back home. They had to sacrifice something before we get here."
"Playing basketball gives you one kind of discipline. Knowing that 'oh, I don't wanna smoke 'cause they will test my blood, so you don't smoke anymore.. I don't drink 'cause my blood.. so you don't drink anymore because you have practice tomorrow. You don't do any of those things so you have to be the best of your abilities'. Doing that, you become a good person."

Understanding this, it shows what Divine and many foreign-students went through just to get a chance to play in our country. The sacrifices he did to maintain his college scholarship. All of this to support his family back in Nigera.
