When Bianca Gonzalez asked Kai Montinola if losing competitions as a child ever discouraged her from joining again, Kai shared, “I never joined just to win.”
She joined singing competitions because she loved singing. She enjoyed performing and being in front of a crowd.
And when she joined PBB, it was the same mindset. She wanted to play the games because she’s competitive, she enjoys playing, and she also had friends inside the house. For her, it was a win-win.
She even thought she would be the first one to leave.
But she came out as 4th placer, something she never expected.
And beyond the placement, she came out with friends, experiences, and lessons.
That’s what makes her perspective so refreshing: sometimes, the point isn’t about winning at all.
It’s about doing something you love, experiencing something new, meeting people, learning along the way, and making memories.
You may not always get the result you hoped for, but that doesn’t mean the journey wasn’t worth it.
Sometimes, the real win is simply enjoying the process. ✨
