DAY 7 NOVENA TO ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA
“See the Depth of Christ’s Love”

As we continue our Novena at San Isidro Labrador Parish, Talisay, Cebu, in honor of St. Anthony of Padua, we are invited to contemplate the immeasurable depth of Christ’s love. St. Anthony reflects on the mystery of the Eucharist and the Passion of our Lord, reminding us that Jesus freely embraced the Cross out of love for humanity. In the breaking of the bread and the pouring of the wine at the Last Supper, Christ revealed the sacrifice He would offer for our salvation, a love so great that He gave His very life for His friends.

“No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Through his teachings, St. Anthony encourages us to recognize this boundless love and to respond by loving God and one another with generous and faithful hearts. As we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, may we learn to see every person as a sign of God’s love and mercy in our lives.

SUCCESSFUL SHOW | Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for this special FREE theater experience at Teatro Rosita, San Isidro Labrador Parish, City of Talisay, Cebu. Through the powerful performances of Dance of the Black Swan, Finding My Light, Homecoming, Way Sandalyas Ni Puntill, and Misa Requiem, we witnessed the beauty of Cebuano artistry, the strength of faith, and the power of stories that touch the heart.

This successful event would not have been possible without the invaluable partnership of the Suore Teresiane - Carmelite Sisters of Sta. Teresa of Avila and the Teresian Youth Charity, Consolacion, Cebu, as well as the generosity of our sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

26th SACERDOTAL ANNIVERSARY | The parishioners of San Isidro Labrador Parish, City of Talisay, Cebu, together with the Thespians of Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod, gathered at Teatro Rosita in joyful celebration of the 26th Sacerdotal Anniversary of Msgr. Agustin Ancajas.

It was a beautiful gathering filled with heartfelt gratitude as parishioners shared testimonies of the profound impact Msgr. Ancajas and the parish have had on their lives.

Together, they reflected on cherished memories and looked forward with hope to the many projects and blessings the days ahead will bring. A truly memorable celebration of faith, community, and service.

A Night of Faith, Hope, and Love: San Isidro Labrador Parish Celebrates Theatre and Community

Last evening, the parishioners of San Isidro Labrador in Talisay gathered for a truly unforgettable celebration of faith, culture, and artistry at Teatro Rosita. This beautiful occasion brought together our vibrant community in a shared experience of Cebuano theatrical excellence, marking a significant milestone in our parish's cultural and spiritual journey.

We were deeply honored by the presence of Honorable Nerio Zafra, Barangay Captain of San Isidro, whose support for community initiatives continues to strengthen the bonds within our beloved barangay. The evening was further graced by esteemed guests from Cebu's media community, whose presence underscored the cultural significance of this gathering.

The heart of the evening was a captivating presentation of three one-act plays from Msgr. Agustin Ancajas' celebrated production Mga Dula sa Pagtuo, Gugma, ug Paglaum (Faith, Hope, and Love). These powerful narratives, performed with passion and authenticity, brought to life the timeless Christian virtues through the beauty of Sugbuanoang Pinulongan, reminding us all of the transformative power of faith expressed through our native tongue.

For many Talisaynons, this was their first encounter with intimate theatre at Teatro Rosita—a cherished venue where stories of faith are brought vividly to life. The evening created a sacred space where art, devotion, and community converged, allowing parishioners to experience the profound connection between Cebuano culture and evangelization in a deeply personal and moving way.

This gathering was more than entertainment; it was a testament to our shared commitment to preserving our cultural heritage while deepening our faith. Through theatre, we witnessed how beauty, language, and storytelling can serve as powerful vessels for encountering the Divine.
