Our 2nd Year Product Design student, Silke Talastas is currently confined in the hospital and awaiting surgery following a motorcycle accident.

At this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with Silke, their family, and their community as they navigate the challenges brought by hospitalization and surgery.

The Design Program joins the call for donations and humbly ask for your support. Any amount, no matter how small, can help contribute to Silke’s medical and surgical expenses and ease the burden on their family during this difficult time.

Urbanity Tour 2026

How differently would Cebu look if you slowed down enough to really bask in it?

Sometimes, experiencing a city means taking the time to notice what usually passes by in the background.

Find out by joining the UP Cebu Design Program for a guided walk through the city, taking a closer look at the spaces, stories, food, architecture, and everyday details that often go unnoticed. More than simply moving from one place to another, the tour invites participants to observe how culture, history, people, and design continue to shape the city around us.

The Office of the Dean and the Committee on Events invite you to “Pagsalop sa Adlaw ug Lingaw-lingaw sa CCAD,” a weekly initiative that brings us together as a college through different activities at our Sunset Garden.

For this week, we have two activities lined up:

with Permaculturist Lee Hisola

2. Aug. 28 (Fri.), 5 p.m.

Two days of exploring, creating, and getting a glimpse into the world of design! ✨

𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗨𝗽 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 brought together incoming freshmen for hands-on workshops, creative challenges, rapid prototyping, FabLab machine explorations, and an introduction to the design program at UP Cebu.

From turning ideas into concepts to bringing them to life through making, we hope these two days gave our freshies a fun and meaningful first step into their design journey. 🛠️💡
